FOTD: Purple Pop

22 Aug

I finally got around to using my new e/s from Tarjay: Purple Pop, by CoverGirl. Although it doesn’t have the best color payoff, I like it. But because I always use an e/s primer & a base, showed up well enough to satisfy me. It’s a mid-toned, grape-y shade of purple, neither pale, nor dark. It has a subtle sheen (not frosty, but not matte either). I was hoping for something darker than this, but I love purple e/s so I’ll take it! I plan to try it on top of a black base to see how that influences the depth of color… I’ll keep you posted. NOW onto the FOTD!

PRIMER:  NYX HD e/s base

BASE: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

SHADOW: I used CoverGirl single e/s in Purple Pop over the majority of my lower eyelid & a frost finish, lime green e/s to highlight my tearducts (Shany 120 palette). Then I used matte aqua blue e/s (Shany) & a little bit of matte black e/s (Wet N Wild Greed palette) to shade my outer v. Finally, I used matte peach e/s to highlight my brow bone (from the Wet N Wild Greed palette).

OTHER DETAILS… I used CoverGirl single e/s in Smolder to define my eyebrows. L’Oreal Collagen Mascara in Blackest Black on my eyelashes. I defined my upper lashline with Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black. I used Wet N Wild pencil in cool green on my waterline & set it by applying lime green & aqua blue e/s with my pencil brush.

LIPS:  Carmex + Estee Lauder lip gloss in Rose

CHEEKS: CoverGirl single e/s in Forever Fig

FACE: Nada

Video tutorial coming soon…
