Is PJ-ism hereditary?!

31 Jul

I went to visit my mother last weekend & in my usual fashion, I snooped around her bedroom & bathroom looking for stuff to… umm, er, uh… “borrow” & BEHOLD *trumpets sound* I found some new makeup & hair products! I stormed into the kitchen (hands on hips) & demanded to know why she hadn’t told me about these new cosmetics. She just rolled her eyes & laughed at me! (C’MON MOM) At least she agreed to review her acquisitions for Sham I am Glam, so that I could share with you 🙂

Creme of Nature Argan Oil Gloss & Shine Mist is a superfine mist with instant, weightless shine & great frizz control. Formulated with UV protectants, it helps guard hair from environmental damage & conditions. It is perfect for daily use.

Mom bought it for about $7 @ her local BSS. She sprays a bit on her hair (prior to curling) to add shine to her silver locks.

Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Glossing Hair Mousse is a creamy, moisturizing foam specially formulated with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Vitamin E to give hair volume, hold & healthy shine. An alcohol-free, non-drying formula that leaves hair manageable with extra bounce, body & sheen.

Mom bought it for about $5 @ her local BSS. She plans to use it as a wrapping foam on hairwashing day. In case you were wondering: Yes! my mama is a permie… well, FOR NOW anyway.

Maybelline Super Stay Makeup is a liquid foundation that touts flexible, breathable, all-day comfort. It can withstand heat, sweat & humidity w/ zero-transfer (it won’t rub off). Its oil free, so it won’t clog your pores & is suitable for all skin types.

She bought a bottle in “Cocoa” from CVS for about $10. (NOTE: she hasn’t used it yet)

L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Powder claims to precisely match your skin’s tone & texture. Its micro-fine powder provides versatile coverage, so you can blot shine, blend for a natural finish, or build for more coverage. The formula now contains a hint of pearl pigments that enhance your skin’s tone. Applicator & mirror inside.

Although Mom hasn’t used it yet, I can personally vouch for this pressed powder. I have used it for several years & plan to go back to it as soon as I finish this Estee Lauder pressed powder compact, LOL. My L’Oreal True Match color is Nut Brown (C7), Mom’s is Cocoa (C8). This compact costs about $8 at CVS.

Doesn’t this make you wonder if genetics play a part in my PJ-ism?! LOL

My True Match color is N8, Cappuccino! LOL!! It’s about 6 years old probably, because I rarely wear make-up! But, LOVE this pressed powder because it really is a “True Match.” Gets rid of the shine with no apparent look of a pressed powder!

Yeah, True Match is good stuff!
