Dry flexi-rod finale

I was having a convo about how easy it is to dry set naturally curly hair when it occurred to me that I had not yet shared my flexi-rod finale with you! *GASP* I apologize for the delay. I was inundated with friends, family, food & romantic comedies last week. Charge it to my head & not my heart.

On the evening of Day 2, I dry twisted my curls (sans product) & tied a scarf around my head. Drum roll please…

Day 3 hair was my favorite HANDS DOWN! Can you tell? It was a little frizzy, but it still had plenty of curl definition & more volume than both days 1 & 2. Definition: curlvana.

By the end of day 3 my hair was feeling pretty dry, so I added a little bit of Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk before detangling & re-twisting. Little did I know it would all be for naught.

I was simultaneously underwhelmed & disappointed by my curls on Day 4. The hair along my front hairline (ear to ear) was almost completely un-curled, so I twisted & pinned it away from my face. Then I smoothed the hair along my temples back & just tucked it behind my ears. Notice that my kool-aid smile has left the building…

It was fun while it lasted, but I washed it out on Day 5.

First off, you are hilarious! Second, when are you coming to my house to teach me how to do my hair?!!! We are in this natural thing at the same time and your wig comes out better than my poor attempts. I’m not patient lol!

    Question about the dry set, was your hair pressed out before? I’m asking because a dry set on my natural curl would not work for me.

    Yes, it was already stretched out. It started off as a roller set, then it rained & became a curly fro & that’s when I decided to set it on flexi rods.
